Regional UN Information Centres


The Asia Pacific region is served by eleven United Nations Information Centres, namely, UNICs Canberra, Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad, Jakarta, Kathmandu, Manila, New Delhi, TehranTokyo and Yangon, and one UN Information Service, which is part of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in Bangkok. The Information Centres in Dhaka, Kathmandu and Yangon serve countries that are in the group of 50 Least Developed Countries. 

UNIC Canberra covers a large part of the Pacific region serving Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
