UN Offices in Fiji

UNRC - UN Resident Coordinators Office, Fiji 
The UN System has three Sub-regional Offices in the Pacific located in Fiji, Samoa and Papua New Guinea. These offices are led by UN Resident Coordinators who are representatives of the UN Secretary General in country. The UN Office in Fiji covers 10 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) – Fiji, FSM, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The UN Offices work together with UN Country Teams (UNCTs) to coordinate the work of UN funds, agencies and organisations in support of the achievement of national development goals as reflected in the Millennium Declaration and Millennium Development Goals, and to assist governments to respond to emergencies and national security issues. 

ILO - International Labour Organization (Fiji Office)
Covers 22 Pacific Island Countries (but the following are full members): Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands 

UNAIDS – Joint UN Programme on HIV/Aids (Fiji Office)
Covers 13 Pacific Island countries: Cook Islands, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu 

UNDP MCO Fiji - UNDP Multi-Country Office (based in Fiji)
UNDP as the United Nation's global development network, advocates for change and connects countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. In the Pacific, UNDP has an office in Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and a recently established sub-office in the Solomon Islands. The Fiji Multi-Country Office serves the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Republic of Marshall Islands, Palau, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Tonga, Kiribati, Nauru and the Solomon Islands. The Samoan based Multi-Country Office serves Samoa, Niue, the Cook Islands and Tokelau. The Pacific Centre based in Suva, serves the three UNDP Multi Country Offices based in Fiji and Samoa, the Country Office in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Through this network of offices, the Pacific Centre provides support to the 15 Pacific Island Countries. 

UNESCAP - ESCAP Pacific Operations Centre (EPOC) based in Fiji
Established in 1984, the ESCAP Pacific Operations Centre (EPOC) in Suva, Fiji, is the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific's (ESCAP’s) representative office in the Pacific. The Fiji Centre covers 19 Pacific Island countries: Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States of), Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, as well as American Samoa, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Guam, New Caledonia, Niue and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Covers 14 Pacific Island Countries: Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuautu

UNISDR - International Strategy for Disaster Reduction, Asia
Covers 23 Pacific Island Countries: Australia, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pictairn Island, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna 

UNOHCHR - Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Pacific Region - based in Fiji
The Pacific Regional OHCHR covers 16 Pacific Island countries: Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu 

WHO – World Health Organization (Fiji Office)
The Pacific Office of WHO covers 14 Pacific Island countries: Fiji, French Polynesia, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshal Islands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Northern Marianas, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna
