The United Nations Cyberschoolbus

UN Cyberschoolbus is an online education component of the Global Teaching and Learning Project, whose mission is to promote education about international issues and the United Nations. The target audience is teachers and students from primary to secondary school. It develops new print and online educational materials on a wide range of social issues and offers opportunities for students around the globe to interact and collaborate on finding solutions to global problems.

The UN Works Programme

UN Works is an innovative multimedia platform that puts a human face on the work of the UN by exploring global issues through the personal stories of people and their communities. It gives a voice to ordinary men, women and children and allows them to share their struggles and fears; hopes and aspirations with audiences around the world.

The UN Works enhances the classroom experience and provides online resources developed with Discovery, MTV and other networks to encourage people to share their stories, create their own content and initiate advocacy campaigns.

UN Chronicle

This is a journal for academic and educational outreach and for informed debate on the work of the Organization. UN Chronicle Online has developed a new UN Education Portal as an information hub and resource for teachers and the educational community.

Model United Nations

The Model UN is an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. More than 200,000 high school and university students participate every year in 400 Model UN Conferences held worldwide. Model United Nations promotes student and teacher interest in international relations and related subjects, increases capacity for students to engage in problem solving, teaches aspects of conflict resolution and research skills, and creates opportunities to meet new people and to make new friends.

Global Model UN

The first annual Global Model UN conference is being held between 5 - 7 August 2009 in Geneva. Approximately 330 Model UN programmes have been invited from all regions of the world.
